Charles K. Redlinger is a decorated police detective, former U.S. Marine, actor and international security professional that recently returned to the USA after 12 continuous years of residency in the Middle East. He possesses a very diverse and unique background with an array of life experiences spanning a 30-year career. From working hundreds of murders as a homicide detective to surviving deadly encounters in both the US and abroad, he has accumulated a treasure chest of valuable lessons. CK's unique experiences have ranged from investigating the Sheriff-Elect Derwin Brown Assassination to enduring the protracted months long battle in Maysan Province, Iraq which was chronicled in the book, "Sniper One". His path has taken him though a variety of extraordinary assignments to include police SWAT sniper, General David Petraeus' Security Manager in Baghdad and original team member of the world's premier Counterterrorism Training Center (King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center - KASOTC) in Jordan. At KASOTC, he was one of the architects of the Annual Warrior Competition, which brings together international Counterterrorism and Special Operations units to compete and network. In his role at KASOTC, he often briefed heads of state, joint chiefs of staff, ambassadors, unified combatant commanders, defense attaches and counterterrorism unit commanders.
Additionally, CK served as the Regional Program Manager for the US State Department's Antiterrorism Assistance Program in Jordan, which provided training and assistance to numerous partner countries in the global war on terror. In November 2015, his program was attacked by an active shooter resulting in 5 tragic deaths and several months of diplomatic challenges. CK is also the nephew of famed WWII hero Wyatt Butterfield, who with nine other sailors survived the torpedoing and sinking of the USS Juneau, subjecting them to 8 days of survival at sea before rescue, recorded in the book "Left to Die". Over 700 Sailors and Marines were lost to include the 5 Sullivan Brothers. CK has acted, performed stunts and advised for several films and TV shows (link to IMDB profile). He has also contributed to several articles and been interviewed by a number of magazines and news media. He is an engaging, funny, and thought-provoking speaker who looks to intertwine his incredible stories and lessons learned with proper messaging in order to help companies and organizations achieve the right outcome. Today, CK lives in Dallas, TX and serves as a director for the Endangered Species Protection Agency USA Foundation (501c3), which utilizes veterans to mentor and train African Park Rangers and other law enforcement organizations in the fight to stop wildlife poaching. |
